In 1996, the Management Committee purchased the adjacent property and commissioned an Architect to carry out a feasibility study. It was found that the existing structure was unsuitable for further extension of the Mosque. The Management Committee then decided to build a purpose built Mosque and started to raise funds. It was agreed to complete the work three phases.
